I caught wind of the latest LJ-related developments just as I was heading out of the house, but. I was troubled by it, and spend most of work mulling it over in my head.

cluegirl and vikingcarrot both received 'pornography' warnings from LJ last night/this morning. I guess cluegirl's warning was related to something she had in her LJ scrapbook, so there's no telling how or why it was found. But vikingcarrot's warning was about art posted at pornish_pixies, in an entry that has been locked for over a week.

Which means this: the wolves are inside the walls.

LJ has said they won't go rifling through locked journals/communities on 'pornography' hunts, and will only act on 'pornography' when it is reported to them with a link. If that is indeed the case -- if they are keeping to their word -- then vikingcarrot had to have been reported by someone who is a member of pornish_pixies.

And that is not on.

There's a troll in the dungeon, kids, and to me, that's just as scary as LJ policing our fannish activity in the first place.

I promised fannish content, and it's coming. Shortly. But first, a PSA.

tarie's been plagiarised. On the Pit, no less.

This sort of shit makes me so angry. The audacity, mainly, but also the stupidity. What possesses people to think they will get away with it?

[ETA:] Apparently, her other stories also belong to other people.

I don't know who this rachel bint is, but she's not doing 6A's PR department any favours.

So, I checked my Yahoo!mail, as I am prone to do about weekly.

Amongst the spam and mailing-list digests, I had a message in my inbox, labeled UNDELIVERED MAIL RETURNED TO SENDER.

It was dated the 19^th. I was not on Yahoo on the 19^th. Today is the first time I have been on Yahoo in at least a week, if not longer.

Intrigued, I clicked.

It would seem that sometime on the 19^th, WHEN I WAS MOST CERTAINLY NOT SIGNED ON AND FIRING OFF EMAILS FROM YAHOO, I apparently sent an email with an attachment to wayfairer's LJ email. Livejournal refused to accept it, for unbeknownst reasons.

More intrigued, I clicked the attachment.

Which Yahoo informed me it could not download, because IT CONTAINED A FUCKING VIRUS.

I AM NOT AMUSED.

WHEN I FIND OUT WHO, WHAT, WHEN, HOW AND WHY, I WILL EAT YOUR FACE.

ETA: I have just been informed by dracorocksmysox that this some kind of scam that has happened to several people. While I feel better knowing my email account is not secretly spamming Aja with VIRUSES, still, it is NOT ON.
